Fort Square Responds to Amendment 10-A
The response of the Fort Square Session to the passage of the long-sought and controversial Amendment 10-A.
The Layman
The Presbyterian Lay Committee’s mission is to inform and equip individual
Christians in the PCUSA and other denominations to engage the ethical
and moral issues in cultural, economic and political affairs as Christ’s active disciples.
Presbyterians Pro-Life
Presbyterians Pro-Life (PPL) is not a part of the structure of our denomination. Instead, PPL is an independent, nonprofit corporation made up of members and pastors of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is a voice for renewal in our denomination. With the Christian Church throughout history, PPL believes that God, who made us in His own image, has forbidden us to shed innocent blood. PPL is committed to strengthening the bonds of family love and nurture, and to protecting innocent life.

The Fellowship of Presbyterians
The Fellowship of Presbyterians was formed a year ago in response to the passage of Amendment 10-A (allowing the ordination of gays and lesbians as
pastors, elders, and deacons). The goal of the Fellowship is “to form a
new way for Presbyterian congregations to relate, recapturing more of what it
means to be the body of Christ. The mission of the Fellowship is to create an
environment in which these congregations can grow and thrive as communities in
covenant.”
